The Goal of The Praise Foundation
The Praise Foundation exists to help families of color, who are seeking to adopt children of color to offset some of the financial burdens associated with the adoption process through a grant up to $1,500. The Praise Foundation desires to assist by providing grants that will go to off-set some of the expenses associated with the adoption process. This grant is available for Christian married couples, in which at least one of the spouses is a person of color. Unfortunately, there are not enough families willing to adopt children of color, so this can leave them with the possibility of never experiencing the love, nurture and encouragement that comes from a “Forever Family” of their own. The requirements for the grant are simple – Complete a home-study and submit the ABBA Fund grant portion of the application. Once the application is submitted, the ABBA Fund team will review it and let you know if you qualify to receive grant funds. Funds would be released to your agency or lawyer once you are matched with a specific child or expectant mother — grant funds are not reimburseable.
The Heart of The Praise Foundation
The heart of The Praise Foundation is to see children of color adopted by families of color. Having parents that closer reflect the ethnic mirrors in the child’s life is important to a child’s identity and development, and the Praise Foundation wants to support that. In a perfect world there would be no need for adoption but as you know, we do not live in a perfect world. The Praise Foundation will assist in bringing families together.
John 14:16 says
“I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you.” We are grateful that God did not leave us as orphans and adopted us into His family. Therefore, the Praise Foundation, rejoices in being able to help children of color to be joined with “Forever Families”.
