You can start a Memorial Fund with or without an initial monetary donation. You may want to start a Memorial Fund soon after a death and notify others of the website address so they can make a donation on behalf of the deceased. You may also want to start a Memorial Fund to which many people will want to give over a long period of time. These Memorial Funds can be created by families, classmates, churches, business associates, friends and others.

Many of you will want to be the sole "sponsor" of one particular family’s adoption needs. Our experience has been that most families that apply through The ABBA Fund for an interest-free loan need at least $5,000.00. Accordingly, the minimum amount required to be the sole sponsor of a family is $5,000.00. If you cannot give that much to start your fund, do not worry. Any amount that you can give will make a huge difference over time as it will be combined with other gifts to our general loan fund and will be loaned to one family after another to fund many adoptions over the years."
