ABBA Fund Board of Directors

Daniel LaBry – Board Member

“What a privilege it is to experience first-hand God placing the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6). We’re honored to be part of transforming orphans into sons and daughters as they are grafted into families whose hearts have been knitted to theirs by God.

Scott Henry – Board Member

Dwain serves as a Board Member and as the President of ABBA Fund since 2006. An experienced adoptive dad twice over with a huge heart for all that adoptive families go through, the ABBA Fund team affectionately calls him the “itinerant pastor to the Christian adoption community.” Dwain founded Deep River Capital Advisors in North Carolina, and is an investment advisor. He previously served as the North  Carolina State Director for Lifeline Children Services, a comprehensive adoption services ministry based in Birmingham, AL, after helping Lifeline acquire its state licensing and launching the new state office. He has 12 years of retail Christian bookstore management experience and a keen business development expertise. An entrepreneur at heart, he also created a promotional products company in 2003 which was sold in 2012. Dwain lives in rural North Carolina with his wife, Heidi, and three children. Dwain enjoys speaking at churches and adoption groups, as well as Kingdom business gatherings.

Eugene Allison – Founder & Chairman

Eugene is a commercial real estate attorney with the law firm of Cranford, Buckley, Schultze, Tomchin, Allen & Buie, P. A. in Charlotte, North Carolina. Eugene and his wife, Carol, adopted two children from Russia in 2001 and experienced first-hand the “cash flow crunch” posed by adoption expenses. Although there is a generous tax credit available to adoptive parents, the expenses have to be incurred first and the tax credit comes much later. Eugene and Carol had enough money to start, but not to finish the process. Through significant financial gifts from friends, Eugene and Carol were able to complete the adoption.

God soon placed a burden on their hearts to start a ministry that would help other Christian families get through the cash flow crunch on the way to growing their family through adoption. The creation of ABBA Fund is the fulfillment of that dream. Eugene and Carol adopted two more children from Russia in 2005. They home educate their children.

A.J. Molnar – Board Member

A.J. was adopted into God’s family in 1988. He was blessed with his wife Lorie’s hand in marriage in 1994. God soon laid adoption on their heart and it came to fruition with their third child, Avery, born in India. He is active in Carmel Baptist Church in Matthews, NC, including leading a young married couples Bible study, many of whom have experienced the blessing of adoptive children. A.J. is an electrical engineer with Southeastern Consulting Engineers.
