Foutz Family Adoption

These handsome young men you see in the pictures below are brothers that have endured so much in their young lives, including the loss of their parents on two different occasions. Despite their suffering, they remain loving and compassionate to one another, and to others, and have been waiting patiently for a forever family for over 3 years now.

They are, both, very intelligent, extremely athletic, and talented, in good health, and have big dreams. They are leaders amongst their peers and do so with compassion and a servant’s heart. The older is a terrific big brother, loves reading, wants to be a doctor or a pilot, enjoys learning English, and is amazing at juggling. The younger enjoys listening to music, likes the color yellow and dogs, and is a fantastic soccer player. The day they found out we were going to be their forever family, they both said hello to us in a video with an excitement I had never before witnessed. I’ll never forget seeing their little hearts pounding out of their little chests as they held onto each other so tight; the biggest smiles on their faces and barely able to breathe.

We want them home. We have answered God’s call to adopt these sons of ours, and we would like to ask you to join us in “Loving the Least of These”. We are excited and anxious to answer God’s call and bring them home to share the same love with them that was given, and continues to be given, to us by our great and mighty and sovereign Lord. It’s been a long and winding road with lots of ups and downs, but we are inching ever closer to holding them in our arms. In order for this to happen, we are asking you for two things:

1. We believe in the power of prayer and know the best way to get our boys home safely is for our brothers and sisters to go to the Throne of Grace and petition and intercede on our family’s behalf. Would you pray for the Lord’s continued provision for the boys, the success of the adoption process, wisdom and peace for our family, and the remaining financial need to get them home?

2. The cost of international adoption is substantial, and many families are driven from adopting orphans because of this cost. However, our faith is in the Lord and His provision, and we are asking you to prayerfully consider donating whatever amount the Lord places on your heart to give. The price of international adoption can be overwhelming, so we are praying for a downpour.

Thank you for praying and walking with us on this journey!

To DONATE BY MAIL, please make out the check to ABBA Fund (do not write the family name on the physical check, which will invalidate the charitable aspect of your gift … instead either print out this page to send with it or include a separate note to request that we preference your gift toward the family profiled on this page) — then mail your check and preference request to:

**AN IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION FROM ABBA FUND ABOUT YOUR DONATION**
Using the online form on this page automatically submits a request to preference your gift to the family profiled on this page as part of ABBA Fund’s Christian Family Adoption Grant Fund. ABBA Fund administers this fund and maintains full control and administration of all donated funds. We also strive to honor our donor’s preference requests in accordance with IRS and Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) guidelines.

The IRS allows donors to state a preference of how their contribution is used and request that the gift support a particular family — and it allows the charitable organization (ABBA Fund) to fully consider that request as long as the donor understands and acknowledges for charitably given tax-deductible gifts that the ultimate authority regarding the disposition of your gift is at the discretion of the charitable organization. By using this online form, or other method described above, you are acknowledging an understanding of those IRS guidelines.

As required by IRS regulations, any tax-deductible donation is made to the charitable organization (ABBA Fund) and not the individual (family) — otherwise it is a non-deductible gift and should be given directly to the family. Every gift into the Christian Family Adoption Grant Fund is helping reduce the financial burden of adoption for families that have qualified for adoption assistance from ABBA Fund.

ABBA Fund is grateful for each donation given to the Christian Family Adoption Grant Fund, and broad participation in the fund helps ensure that ABBA Fund is able to assist each approved family with the grant and loan funds preferenced to reduce the financial burden of their adoption. ABBA Fund, a 501(c)(3) ministry, has provided more than $6.5 million in grants and interest-free loans to help 1,012 orphans become sons and daughters in 912 Christian families since 2004 (as of early 2015) — with more adoptions being assisted every month.
