Lawrence Family Adoption

JONATHAN & RACHEL LAWRENCE FAMILY ADOPTION

Our adoption story began long ago, before we were even married. We both wanted to adopt “one day” and talked about it often when we were dating and engaged. When we felt ready to add children to our family, adoption came up again. The more we talked & prayed & learned about it, the more we were convinced that adoption is a priority in God’s kingdom. We knew that He was calling us to adopt, so why not adopt first?

Our first adoption journey was long and painful, but through it we learned so much more about God as our adoptive Father and about our identity as His children. In 2011, we were blessed with our twin daughters, Chloe & Mercy, through the miracle of adoption. Being their parents has been one of the greatest joys and privileges of our lives.

Earlier this year, God began to stir our hearts again to add to our family. We both feel convinced that, even though we have never tried to have biological children, adoption is the way God wants to add more children to our family.

We are honored that He is letting us be a part of this journey again and cannot wait to see who He has in store to join our family.

We knew from the outset of this journey, just like in our first adoption, that we would have to take a leap of faith and trust God to provide the resources we need to complete the adoption. We have tried to be faithful stewards and have put significant amounts of our personal savings toward our adoption expenses. However, we are still in need of additional resources. We know that there are many families with a heart for adoption who may not be in a place to bring a child home right now but who may have the resources to support an adoption. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us as we obey God’s call on our family?

We are excited to see the body of Christ come together for His kingdom purposes. Your prayers & support are invaluable. We pray that God will receive all the glory through all of this!

“For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’” -Romans 8:15
