Coyle Family Adoption

For two years, I (Debbie) was asking God what He would have me to do with my life now that our two bio children were in college and out of the house. While working, a woman I knew but hadn’t seen in a year, came in and she had a little spanish boy with her and he called her mom. I asked her if she had adopted and as she began to tell her story to me, I heard the Lord say, “pay attention, this is what I want you to do.” I came home and spoke to Rocky and his reply, ” Debbie, I was just thinking that I would love to adopt but thought you’d never go for it!”

After prayer, we entered into the adoption world! It has been an amazing journey and we now have two girls from India and one from China. It was during our adoption with China, that we applied for a grant/loan through the ABBA Fund. They were timely and encouraging as we needed funds quickly because we were traveling to China soon. We spoke to different people in the organization who went above and beyond their call! (Thank you again!) When we called to ask for help again, as we are going back to China one more time to adopt an 8 year old little girl, they were as excited to hear about her and join with us to help her (Abigail) come home. We are asking for prayer first and foremost, to help her to come home.

We feel that we have been blessed by God to participate in His calling for us. Isaiah 1:17 tells us to “learn to do good; seek justice; reprove the ruthless; defend the orphan and plead for the widow.” It has been the verse to explain the “why” of our journey. Job 42:2 has been quoted countless times, “I know that You can do all things, and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.” Whether getting paper work done, the finances needed, or just going through different emotional roller coaster rides of the adoption world, God has used these verses to encourage our hearts.

The final verse that He has placed in our hearts for this journey was Philippians 2:13. ” For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” This has been God’s idea for our family from the beginning and we have been immensely blessed just doing His work. The girls are a privilege to know and love and care for. We are asking for help financially to bring home our last little girl. We have actually already met her and quite by accident! But thats another testimony as to how mysteriously God works in all of our lives. Adoption continually reminds our us of God’s great love for us! Its demonstrated by our girls in our house everyday!

To DONATE BY MAIL, please make out the check to ABBA Fund (do not write the family name on the physical check, which will invalidate the charitable aspect of your gift … instead either print out this page to send with it or include a separate note to request that we preference your gift toward the family profiled on this page) — then mail your check and preference request to:

ABBA Fund, PO BOX 868049, Plano, TX 75086-8049

Using the online form on this page automatically submits a request to preference your gift to the family profiled on this page as part of ABBA Fund’s Christian Family Adoption Grant Fund. ABBA Fund administers this fund and maintains full control and administration of all donated funds. We also strive to honor our donor’s preference requests in accordance with IRS and Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) guidelines.

The IRS allows donors to state a preference of how their contribution is used and request that the gift support a particular family — and it allows the charitable organization (ABBA Fund) to fully consider that request as long as the donor understands and acknowledges for charitably given tax-deductible gifts that the ultimate authority regarding the disposition of your gift is at the discretion of the charitable organization. By using this online form, or other method described above, you are acknowledging an understanding of those IRS guidelines.

As required by IRS regulations, any tax-deductible donation is made to the charitable organization (ABBA Fund) and not the individual (family) — otherwise it is a non-deductible gift and should be given directly to the family. Every gift into the Christian Family Adoption Grant Fund is helping reduce the financial burden of adoption for families that have qualified for adoption assistance from ABBA Fund.

ABBA Fund is grateful for each donation given to the Christian Family Adoption Grant Fund, and broad participation in the fund helps ensure that ABBA Fund is able to assist each approved family with the grant and loan funds preferenced to reduce the financial burden of their adoption. ABBA Fund, a 501(c)(3) ministry, has provided more than $6.5 million in grants and interest-free loans to help 1,012 orphans become sons and daughters in 912 Christian families since 2004 (as of early 2015) — with more adoptions being assisted every month.
