Sasha’s Hope

Sasha was adopted in 2009 from Ukraine at the age of ten. Abandoned at birth, Sasha had lived her entire life up to that point in an orphanage. In spite of her very difficult time in the orphanage system, Sasha began to fervently pray to God for parents and a family.

In 2008, the Taunton family met Sasha on a mission trip to Odessa, Ukraine and were immediately taken with her vitality and zest for life. Upon inquiry if she was available for adoption they discovered she was HIV positive. God, however, was clearly leading Sasha and the Taunton’s together. Sasha became a member of the Taunton family and a citizen of the United States in 2009. She is thriving in every way in her new found life. Her health is strong and her love for Jesus gives her a passion to help people, particularly other children who desperately need parents and a loving home. She is an inspiration to many people and also for the establishment of this fund.
